I would like to announce that only one person could complete
the quotation given by C. B. REES that was germane to the "Slime" question. Many
people were able to get close to the secondary answer, especially after I gave
them the colossal hint about ORANGE CRUSH.
Without further adon't-OUR GRAND PRIZE WINNER IS:
A. M. Lorraine Fader
I must also say that she also wrote more guesses, and by
the look of them, tried each guess personally before she wrote it down and sent
it in.
Now, for her trouble, EVERYONE send her a congratulary e-mail. Remember, next time could be your turn.
For those of you too lazy to compose a sincere, congratulatory, heartfelt, e-mail copy this and paste it.
To: A. M. Lorraine Fader
Significant sentiments on your wonderful accomplishment.

Don't bother to send flowers, she writes me that she can't view graphics!
She is home updating her RESUME now, having bettered 700+
fighting, snarling, hornists!
Oh, I almost forgot, the Answers were:
-
Good lining=Whiskey
-
Had to drink after performance=Orangeade (orange juice
was close enough)
For you nitpickers, the complete quote: "At
a Promenade Concert in 1949 he performed Strauss's Horn Concerto and E flat
on an instrument he had bought a year previously as a collector's piece. It
was made in Paris in 1818 and there seem to be only two others like it in the
country-one at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
He had not thought
of playing on it until his usual instrument broke down. He had it brought up
to date for it had not previously been used. He explained after this Prom concert
that he knew it had not been used as it had no "lining," which is produced by
the combination of breath and dust. Dennis added, with a smile, "and one of
the best 'liners' is WHISKEY" But he himself, after the performance, drank a
glass of ORANGEADE."
